So. If you ever do have an identity crisis, travel the US. I feel so incredibly identified and scanned down to my bones.
(And after a nice conversation the TSA-woman goes „SYRIA?! WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING IN SYRIA??“)
I am sitting here at the nicest spot in the airport (most remote corner of the food corner behind the Panda Express) with perfect view of the sunny – äh – Rollfeld (airplane roller coaster area??) with Atlanta downtown in the background. Took a pic but am lacking the cable – might post it later…
My seat neighbor, new friend S., in the airplane made up perfectly for my not so perfect non-window-seat. American in the best way, she unknowingly revived my love for the people in this country within five minutes.
Hope we keep in touch. First book advice of the trip regarding systems and how they influence us: http://charlesduhigg.com/the-power-of-habit/
And I can’t help show off with the fact that I now know Johnny Depp around three corners. Which would be impressive. If I didn’t know the movie script writers of Frida around three corners now as well. Which is much more impressive. A sign, a sign!
Best movie on the plane: the Nixon tapes. Scary. Not sure it’s really worth listening to all of this, affecting your brain in a bad way, but mixed in with news and public speeches, sorted by the political topics of the time. I just hope there’ll never be something like the Bush tapes…..
Made us discuss integrity. And I wonder – if all can be recorded nowadays and no president is going to resign any more due to the fact that he not only can (yes we can gets a whole new meaning…) but that he does… will it make people search for integrity more cause they can’t hide? Have I just brought up an argument pro spying on others and ourselves? Now that is scary.
Second best movie on the plane: the airplane security video.
By now I am awfully tired.
